Pixelstick may seem like magic, but it's actually pretty simple. Each one of pixelstick's 200 LEDs acts like a pixel on a screen, displaying your image one vertical line at a time as you walk. These vertical lines, when captured by a long exposure, combine to recreate your image in mid air, leaving pixelstick (and the person using it) invisible.

Pixelstick loves to travel. At a collapsed height of 42", all pixelstick’s parts fit snugly in the included carry bag, so it can go where you go, including carry-on luggage. The wireless remote trigger (sold separately in our store) lets you fire pixelstick from behind the camera or down the street. It's perfect for shooting with a friend and invaluable when creating animations. Pixelstick functions perfectly well without the wireless remote but many people find that it streamlines their workflow quite a bit and allows for smoother movements since you don't have to reach up to the controller to press the fire button.
Simply attach the cold shoe mount (from your parts bag), slide the remote receiver on and tighten, and then plug the minijack cable into the bottom of pixelstick's controller. Voila! You can now use the trigger to fire pixelstick from up to 200 yards away.
If you want more control over your image style, grab the Creative Lens Pack (sold separately in our store) with two alternate lenses. When using the clear lens, the gaps between the LEDs are more prominent and the light is not diffused, for an ultra sharp look with a retro scan-line effect. The rounded milky lens provides a wider viewing angle and eliminates the gaps between the LEDs for buttery smooth (albeity slightly softer) photorealism. Each lens has its own strong points and all three are useful.
